Next time you text someone who you already know is driving a car on their way to meet you, then the moment they arrive you pounce on them with “Did you get my text?”… consider this.
(That’s if there’s a “next time”… hopefully there hasn’t been a “first time yet”… and our goal is that the last time you did it becomes the “last time you EVER did it”. If this doesn’t apply to you, share it with someone who needs to see it.)
If it was that important, why didn’t you think of it earlier?
If your recipient has the Bluetooth speakerphone thing in their car that lets them answer without removing their eyes from the road or their hands from wheel, why didn’t you pick up the damn phone and call them?
Or better yet just wait till they got there?
Or, instead of texting them to “stop and pick something up on the way”, get in your own car and pick it up yourself?
This could happen to your friend, or a complete stranger, or both.
