For the next few days, we’re taking to the road.
Gonna be fun.
Later in the week, we suspect we’ll have opportunity to lay down a couple rants we’ve been trying to fit into the editorial calendar for a while.
Today, we will share a little about the joys of being a crazy entrepreneur.
Rewind 366 Days Exactly…It Was Bad
A year ago, at this moment (November 1, 2015), we were cancelling plans to attend conferences we had booked six months prior.
Somehow things had worked out where a whole bunch of things went “live” all at once and we found our entire organization in a spiral of forgetting what it meant to live like a human being.
It was so bad, our “visioning exercises” invariably involved scenarios where our business had ceased to exist.
Oh, and for all this 18-hours-a-day, all-hands-on-deck work, somehow there was no money (?!?!?!)
Today, we have truckloads of money in the bank, a perfectly balanced workload…. and to draw an underline under it….
We Are Heading Out For California To Just Hang Out, Just Because We Can
We intentionally scheduled the trip to California, as close to “last minute” as our temperament allows (which means we set it up last Friday).
No business plans (though we did book an in-person consult with a client local to Los Angeles because, HUSTLE!)
No specific event or activity.
Yes, Because We Can. And So Can You.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur or an employee, you can… just because you can.
Look at everything in your business, your career, and your life.
Look at why you’re justifying it.
Then ask yourself, “Why do I need to explain this to anyone? Why do I need to explain this to myself even?”
Will the answers surprise you?
Now imagine what would be different if you said “because I can.”
Finally, flip it around and look at the things you want to do, but you “can’t”.
Ask why not.
