Today is Labor Day here in the United States, where The Morning Adam™ is based.
Already, we’re rolling our eyes at the endless, droning depiction in the media and every sales circular of this long weekend as “the last weekend of summer”.
We’re bracing ourselves for the barrage of social media posts, starting tomorrow, that include the phrase “now that summer is officially over” as part of the pitch to take massive action in the final third of the year and get all caught up on those Best.Year.Ever declarations made on Facebook last January 2nd.
Because It’s Simply Not True.
No, Labor Day Weekend up is NOT the “last weekend of summer”.
Starting tomorrow, summer will NOT be “officially over”.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the Autumnal (Fall) Equinox happens every year somewhere within the range of September 22-24. That’s when Autumn begins.
In the Southern Hemisphere, the Spring (Vernal) Equinox happens every year somewhere within the range of September 22-24. That’s when SPRING begins.
South Of The Equator, Throughout Half The World, Summer Is COMING UP, Not “Over”.
Unless the millions and millions of fans, followers, prospects, customers, and more you may have in places like Australia, most of Indonesia, the lower third of Africa, and the lower 5/6th of South America (meaning, just about the ENTIRE CONTINENT) somehow have it all wrong…
…summer is something a lot of them are eagerly looking forward to – NOT dreading the impending end of.
But there’s a bigger issue.
Something way more important.
The Season Is Whatever You Make It To Be.
Your success can happen when you put in the hustle, take massive action, create results, and be the thing you’d like to see more of in the world.
Don’t let anyone tell you that the summertime of your business and life is “officially” ANYTHING.
