Whenever we at The Morning Adam™ hear the phrase “constructive criticism” as a description for unsolicited advice, to us, it’s the person being so brazen as to ask permission to bully before doing so.
So, no.
No “constructive criticism”.
Keep it.
The people you PAY to critique you (like coaches and mentors) generally won’t mess around with inane phrases like “constructive criticism”.
They come out and say what they feel needs said.
There will be a comfort level, a relationship in place, that allows for things that need said, to be said.
That comfort level means they won’t need to ask permission, either – which is as it should be when there’s trust and respect.
And there’s another reason why you pay them – it’s because,
THEY HAVE CONSTRUCTED SOMETHING.
Something that resembles that thing you are moving toward yourself.
Something that gives you a roadmap to follow, or a blueprint to implement, or both, or more.
Ya dig?
